I have hit and officially passed my ‘due’ date on Tuesday, the 24th, and am still going strong. I feel bad not posting as much as I would like lately, but the end of this pregnancy has been wearing me out. I still have several posts I want to write about (baby-related), like cloth diapering, elimination communication, home birth/choosing a midwife, but they may have to wait. Right now I’m focused on staying hydrated and resting when I can. Thankfully my mom is here, so it’s been wonderful to have help, especially with Emma.
Surprisingly, Emma has been amazing during these past few weeks. That’s not to say she hasn’t had a 2 hour fit one day in her room, but she is super excited to be a big sis! She constantly talks to baby (we call her a girl), telling her how she will hold her, change her diaper, and even nurse her. I’m not sure if it’s a girl thing, but I love how nurturing she is with her fake babies and all the things she wants to do and show to our real baby. I really can’t wait to see how she will do once baby eventually comes.
I was going to do some comparisons between this pregnancy and the previous one, but I seem to be starting early labor so that will have to be continued…
For now, Crunchy Hot Mama will be MIA until this baby makes their debut, and we finally get to find out the gender. Here’s to a safe and successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) in the tub at home with my amazing midwives!
